According to Vinipedia

Healthy, tasty and easy! Let’s keep it short yet complete. But believe me, I had written my say before even reading what Wiki had to say. But he too like me (not me like him, he too like me, you know what I mean) had kept it simple. This recipe is so simple that no one can talk much about it, not even.

Let’s talk about this recipe

I have two kinds of write ups for my recipes. The long one, such as this and shorter ones that I post on Sundays! Shorter ones are for short recipes. This recipe should logically fall in the latter category.  But I am posting under this category i.e. recipes and stories for no particular reasons at all.  Basically what I want to say is that it is a very simple recipe.

Talking about the recipe… the ingredients!

“Choose your bread” This reminds me of something I recently read somewhere. No not this emoji.his one. Nowadays when we talk about reading its  No?!

What I read, I’ll talk about that in the let’s just talk section. However as regards this recipe, you can go for whole wheat bread/multi grain/white bread, as per your choice.

“Flavour your batter” You can add any seasoning/ginger/chillies, if you want to experiment with the flavours.

“Add the veggies” You can add any vegetables of your choice. I have kept it minimalistic, with the basic veggies. In Fact you can completely omit the vegetables if you want.

If you are a bread person you may also like paneer sandwich, hung curd sandwich etc.

If you are a sooji person (sooji person, what’s sooji person?! You know what I mean) you may like instant sooji dhokla, instant rava idli etc.

The Beauty (the good part about this recipe)

Vinipedia talks about the beauty of this dish. But while writing the above section I realised that this dish has more to it. Apart from all that has been mentioned there, it also allows customization. And customised stuff is so much in vogue .

The Beast (the difficult part of this recipe)

  • A soggy sooji toast is what you get if the recipe misbehaves.

Experience and experiments (tips and tricks)

  • Roast the bread slice lightly before applying the spread
  • Use perforated plate to place the cooked Instant sooji Toast Recipe

Let’s just talk

On one of the facebook groups, Anubhuti Singh recently posted something very interesting. It was about the kinds of bread and our likes/dislikes. I loved the imagination used. I mention below what was posted:

Comment the movie by showcasing your fondness towards breads“Khadoos”: complete whole-wheat“Tanu weds Manu”: whole-wheat and refined flour mix bread“Queen”: White Bread“Nau do gyarah”: Multigrain Bread

It was an interesting read for me and I thought you people too would love it and related to it.

So, what’s your favorite in the lot?  As far as I am concerned, I would take the Queen.
