Paneer: I love to use homemade paneer for its softness and freshness.
Makhani gravy: There are multiples ways of making makhani gravy. This one is very simple and fusses free. I have used homemade tomato puree for the perfect color of my makhani gravy and smooth texture.

How To Make Paneer Makhani

1. Heat 1 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp butter

2. Add 1 large chopped onion, 5-6 garlic cloves, 1/2 inch chopped ginger, 10 cashews, 1 inch cinnamon stick, and 1 black cardamom, and cook till onion and cashew becomes soft

3. Cool it and add in the grinder jar

4. Make a smooth paste

5. Heat 1 tbsp butter

6. Now add paste of onion and cashews. Stir and cook till it releases oil

7. Add 1 and 1/2 cup tomato puree and 1 tsp red chili powder

8. Stir and cook till tomato puree thickens

9. Add 1 cup water and mix well, and cook for 2-3 minutes

10. Now add 3 tbsp fresh cream and mix well

11. Add salt to taste and 1/2 tsp sugar, mix well and stir

12. Add 200 grams paneer cubes and simmer for 2 minutes. For best results use homemade paneer

13. Garnish with Kasuri methi and chopped coriander leaves
