Weekly Tiffin Planner for kids recipes with step by step pictures
Planning kids’ tiffin is a tedious task. Preparing it might be easier but deciding what to prepare is certainly difficult.
Here are 6 kids’ tiffin recipes which include a variety of dishes you can prepare each day of the week.
Monday: Sooji Cutlets
Even kids have Monday blues. Giving them something catchy and interesting in the tiffin can help them deal with Monday. This recipe can be partly prepared on Sunday night and Monday morning it will take you 10-15 minutes to fix sooji cutlets. Pack handful of black grapes and the tiffin is ready.
Tuesday: Bread Dhokla
Kids may or may not like dhokla. But Bread Dhokla is sure to be liked by them. It is absolutely soft and light. The best part is that it remains moist even after being in the tiffin for a couple of hours. Pack a besan ladoo along with bread dhokla and the tiffin is ready.
Wednesday: Sprouts Cheela
My kids have their physical training (PT) on Wednesdays. Therefore I like to give these protein-packed pancakes on this particular day. You can shuffle the days and make sprouts cheela for the tiffin on their PT days. Pack juice of their choice along with sprouts cheela and the tiffin is ready.
Thursday: Coleslaw Sandwich
I believe cold sandwiches are best for tiffin. They don’t get soggy or moist. Use healthy bread and spread nutritious and delicious coleslaw salad and pack in the cling wrap to ensure the sandwich doesn’t dry up. Pack some popcorns along with coleslaw sandwich and the tiffin is ready.
Friday: Aloo Bonda
TGIF! F for Friday F for the favorite, on Fridays there should be something of kids’ liking. Aloo bonda makes a great snack for kids. Delicious potato stuffing is dipped in gram flour batter and deep fried to make lip-smacking aloo bonda. You can also try a low oil version of this recipe by using an appam pan to fry aloo bonda. I too shall try it soon and update. Pack some sprouts along with aloo bonda and the tiffin is ready.
Saturday: Rice Paratha
If your kids having a working Saturdays pack something filling because Saturdays generally have sports activities. Rice paratha works great for kids’ tiffin. For that matter, any paratha works as a good tiffin recipe. Pack your kids’ favorite chocolate along with rice paratha and the tiffin is ready.
