Rose Syrup Overnight Oats | Overnight Oats Recipe

What are Overnight Oats?

Rolled oats, soaked in liquid, generally or a combination of milk and honey, along with some seeds or nuts or dry fruits or any other ingredients of choice, make overnight oats. These are very simple to make as there is absolutely no cooking involved and these can be prepared ahead of time. Overnight oats stay good for 2-3 days under refrigeration. These come really handy on a hectic morning. Overnight oats can be prepared and flavored in a number of ways.  This recipe is for rose syrup overnight oats as I have flavored the oats with some rose syrup. It not only added a very refreshing flavor to it but also acted as the sweetener.

Rose Syrup Overnight Oats- Ingredients Required:

Oats: Rolled oats work the best for overnight oats recipe. I had the quick oats and therefore I have used the same. I like to dry roast the quick oats for 3-5 minutes for any and every oat recipe. In fact, when I get the pack from the grocers I just dry roast the oats lightly and store the same.

Milk: I have used regular milk to make overnight oats. Important is the proportion of milk and oats. Generally, it is 1:1. As in you use ½ cup of oats along with ½ cup of milk. But, the same can vary. For instance, if you are using quick oats instead of rolled ones, add in lesser milk or the oats will be softer. Also, you might like to add in more milk with the rolled oats if you like the same softer.

Rose Syrup: Rooh Afza is a very popular rose syrup available at the Asian grocery stores. However, you can use any store-bought or homemade rose syrup for this recipe.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
