What is Cabbage Kofta?

Kofta is a dumpling made by a mixture of vegetables and flour. Cabbage kofta is a crispy, crunchy and delicious snack. In this recipe, I have made kofta of cabbage (patta gobhi) and gram flour (besan). Kofta can be deep fry or shallow fry both are yummy in taste. Cabbage Kofta recipe is a

Recipe with cabbage- I have thickly grated cabbage. You can also chop it finely.
Other Ingredients- I have used gram flour, ginger, curd and other spices. Kofta lovers will also like Soya Kofta and  Loki kofta. Cabbage kofta can be enjoyed with a gravy as kofta curry. Just add your kofta in your favorite gravy.

How to make Cabbage Kofta

1. Take a vegetable grater and shred 1/2 cabbage. Use the thick/broad side

2. In a bowl add 1/2 shredded cabbage, chopped coriander leaves, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp yogurt, 1 tsp ginger paste and salt to taste

3. Mix all ingredients well and keep the cabbage kofta mixture aside for 25-30 minutes

4. After 30 minutes cabbage mix would be moist. Add 1 cup gram flour and 1/8 tsp fruit salt

5. Mix well and check seasoning and consistency

6. Divide the whole mixture into equal parts and make a small size balls

7. Heat appe pan on medium gas flame and apply oil

8. Fry cabbage kofta on a low to medium flame, rotating continuously

9. Cook till golden brown from all sides
