What is Dahi Puri Chaat?

Puffed up and crisp snack or puris are golgappe. Golgappe stuffed with tangy and spicy potato mixture which has the crunch of onions and hint of sweet chutney, topping of crunchy sev making it a mouthwatering snack is called dahi puri. It is a very popular street food of India. However, these can easily be made at home in no time without any efforts. Let’s talk about the ingredients for Dahi Puri

Dahi puri calls for

Golgappe: I have used store-bought golgappe as I have yet to try my hands on this recipe.
Chutneys for chaat: I insist you to make these chutneys and have them in your refrigerator during festive times or kids’ holidays or whenever you are expecting some guests. I do it.
Stuffing: I have followed an interesting way to make the stuffing for dahi puri recipe. It blends all the flavours well and makes the recipe easy to follow.

To Make Stuffing For Dahi Puri

1. In a bowl add boiled, peeled and mashed ½ cup potatoes

2. Add 2 ½ tbsp sweet tamarind chaat chutney, 1 ½ tbsp coriander chaat chutney, and 1 tsp garlic chaat chutney

3. Mix

4. Add 2 tbsp chopped onions and mix

5. Check seasoning and balance of flavours

To make Dahi Puri

1. Add salt to taste in yogurt

2. Make hole in the centre of the puri

3. Fill in potato stuffing, approximately 1 tsp in each puri

dahi puri

4. Fill in yogurt in the puris

dahi puri

5. Add coriander chaat chutney as per taste

dahi puri

6. Add sweet tamarind chaat chutney as per taste

dahi puri

7. Bon appétit: Top with sev and serve dahi puri immediately
