Let’s talk about the ingredients for chocolate dipped strawberries

Chocolate Dipped Strawberry is not a recipe… it’s an idea. Here I have used white chocolate and dark chocolate. You can stick to just one of your choice. I have used sprinkles for decorating. As far the decorating part is concerned, there are many delicious possibilities. You can choose to decorate with some crushed nuts or flakes or little sea salt or cookies crumbled cookies.

How To Make Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

1. Wash and pat dry strawberry : Wash the strawberries properly and pat them dry.

Tips: There should be no water on strawberries. Chocolate and water is fire and water, they don’t work together.

2. Melt chocolate : Either use a double boiler (i.e. place a sauce pan half filled with water on heat. On that keep a big pan and put the chocolate in it. Make sure that water doesn’t come in contact with the chocolate). Or put the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and put in microwave for 30 seconds on high. Give it a mix and repeatedly put in microwave for 30 seconds each time till the chocolate melts properly. (The time required to melt the chocolate depends on the climate and quality of chocolate used.)

Tips: If the chocolate is too hard or the climate is too cold make sure to grate/chop the chocolate for melting properly.

3. Get, set, go : Make the preparations. Have your melted chocolate, strawberries, sprinkles, some toothpicks and a plate lined with parchment paper ready.

Tips: Using a tall glass will make it convenient to dip the strawberries.

4. Insert a toothpick in the strawberry : I like to completely dip the strawberries in the chocolate. And toothpicks make that possible.

5. Dip strawberry in the chocolate : Hold the tip of the toothpick and dip the strawberry in the melted chocolate. Swirl it to ensure that chocolate gets properly coated. Thereafter just hold it for a while so that the excess drips off.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
