What is Malai Ladoo?
Malai ladoo is a mildly sweet (adjective) Indian sweet (noun) that is very soft and “melt in mouth” with the hints of kewra and cardamom. It is made up of cottage cheese (paneer) and condensed milk and is very quick and easy to make. It is ready in no time without any efforts at all. This year I made these for Ganesh Chaturthi and they were loved by my Gannu.
Let’s talk about the ingredients for Malai Ladoo
Malai Ladoo calls for cottage cheese and condensed milk. For the flavouring I have used kewra water and cardamom. These ladoo are not very sweet, they are mildly sweet and kewra and cardamom compliment them very well. I love to make these ladoo whenever I have left over milk. I always use homemade paneer and homemade condensed milk for this recipe. In fact whenever I have enough left over milk, I convert it into paneer and condensed milk and then I convert them into. Another beauty of these ladoo is that you can shape them as modaks and make Malai modak.
