Saffron Rice Recipe is a gorgeous rice preparation having the rich saffron flavour.Saffron rice is very simple and easy to make.The technique used in this recipe is very different. We don’t cook rice like that. The rice needs no soaking. One can resort to this recipe whenever in a rush.You can add flavours to rice as per your liking, such as green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon etc.
1. Soak 1/8 tsp saffron strands in 1/2 cup boiled water
2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan (with lid)
3. Add 1 cup rice (without rinsing)
4. Add salt to taste and mix
5. Cook them on low flame till the turn opaque/white. Do not brown the rice
6. Add the saffron water
7. Add remaining 1.5 cup boiled water
8. Cover the lid of the pan and cook for 20 minutes on low flame
9. Check the rice for the doneness and serve them hot
