What is Peanut Chutney?

Peanut Chutney is a heathly and delicious chutney that goes very well with many breakfast dishes. This particular recipe is the recipe for peanut chutney for fasts. It compliments the fasting food such as sabudana tikki or sabudana khichadi very well. This is the best way to include peanuts in your diets, unless you are already in the habit of munching them. Let’s talk about the Ingredients of Groundnut Chutney

Peanut chutney recipe is a

Recipe using peanuts- I have used roasted and de-skinned peanuts. If you want you need not de-skin the peanuts.
Other ingredients- since it is a chutney recipe for fasts, I have not added many ingredients in it. Little lemon juice for the tanginess and dry red chilli for some heat! Do not skip seasame seeds, they give an awesome flavour to the chutney.

How To Make Peanut Chutney

1. In a grinder jar, add 1/4 cup roasted and deskinned peanuts, 1 dry red chilli, juice of half lemon, and rock salt to taste

2. Add 1/4 cup water

3. Grind and make a smooth paste

4. For tempering the chuntey, heat 1 tsp oil

5. Now add 5-6 curry leaves

6. Add 1/2 tsp sesame seeds and let them crackle

7. Add tempering to the chutney and mix
