What is Gulkand Milkshake?
Gulkand Milkshake is a very reviving and energy giving drink, with a flowery and sweet flavour. (I always thought flowery is no word, just used it as we use fruity but later found that flowery is actually a word ;)). Gulkand is rose petals jam. It is said to be very beneficial during summers. It not only helps to remain cool in the hot weather but has various other benefits for stomach, skin, eye sight etc. I use it a lot and most convenient way for me is to make Gulkand Milkshake. I make it also because of the various advantages of gulkand but mainly for its aroma.
Let’s talk about the ingredients for Gulkand Milkshake
Gulkand Milkshake needs chilled milk, some gulkand and some rose quash or rose syrup for added flavour and colour and sweetness. Gulkand is easily available in the Asian stores. I like some chunks of gulkand so I don’t blend it too much. However if you want your shake absolutely smooth you can first blend gulkand with some milk and can also pass it through a sieve before serving. I don’t like to add ice cubes to my shakes as it dilutes the shake. So I prefer using chilled milk for preparing shakes and I keep milk in freezer for sometime before making gulkand milkshake.
