Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

CHINESE FRIED RICE RECIPE Ingredients for Chinese Fried Rice Recipe
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup capsicum, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot, chopped
- 2 tbsp sweet corn
- 1/2 cup cabbage, chopped
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 tsp soya sauce
- Salt to taste
- 2 cup boiled rice (boiled al-dente)
- 1/2 tsp freshly crushed black pepper
- Handful of chopped spring onions
How to make Chinese Fried Rice
1. Cook ginger, garlic and onion
Heat a pan. Add 2 tbsp oil. Once it is hot, add 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic and ginger. Cook for 10-20 seconds. Add 1 small chopped onion. Cook for 30 seconds
2. Cook vegetables
Add 1/2 cup chopped spring onions, 1/2 cup chopped capsicum, 1/2 cup chopped carrot and 2 tbsp sweet corn. Cook on high flame, tossing occasionally for 4-5 minutes
3. Cook cabbage
Add 1/2 cup cabbage, cook for 30 seconds.
4. Cook rice
Add 2 cups boiled rice.
Tip: Cook the rice well in advance and refrigerate for at least an hour for the best results.
5. Add vinegar and soya sauce
Add 2 tsp vinegar and 2 tsp soya sauce. Give a quick mix.
6. Add seasonings
Add salt to taste, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp freshly crushed black pepper. Mix everything and cook for 2-3 minutes. Check the seasoning. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
