Healthy Dinner Recipes

There is something about winters. The food is more appetizing. The even simple hot meal is satiating. The meal idea I am sharing is very easy and simple to make and can be put together in an hour or so. The meal includes dal fry, missi roti and tamatar dhaniya ka shorba.

Something absolutely indispensable during winters is a bowl of hot soup. In this meal I am sharing the recipe for tamatar dhaniya ka shorba which is one of my favourite soups. Another recipe shared is that of dal fry and an interesting thing about dal fry is that it is one of the staple foods of Indian households as well as one of the most ordered foods at the restaurants and dhabas. To accompany dal fry I have included missi roti which is simple chapatti with lots of added flavours.

  1. Tamatar Dhaniya ka Shorba

tamatar dhaniya ka shorbaFirst things first! Tamatar dhaniya shorba is tangy and flavourful Indian soup with the distinct flavour of coriander combined with the most common one that is tomatoes. All the flavours so perfectly balanced and compliment each other!

  1. Dal Fry

  1. Missi Roti

missi rotiAfter making missi roti for the first time I was wandering why I had not made it yet. It is so easy and simple to prepare and enhances the charm of the meal.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
