With a bread loaf in your refrigerator, you know that you are a few minutes away from a wholesome sandwich or crispy toast. Bread recipes are so swift and uncomplicated that one can never go hungry. And best toast recipes are such a breeze that even ten years old can fix one for self. Bread recipes are very versatile and this versatility has also been passed on the toasties. Toasts are a great lunch idea for kids as well as easy food recipe.

With an array of bread available in the market, be it the classic white bread or healthy whole wheat or multi-grain bread, flavored garlic bread and so on, you can never get bored. To top up the bread, again there is an array of choices. And those choices have been converted into recipes.

Before we see the recipes for toasts, let’s have a look at the few things to be kept in mind when you make a toast:

  1. You can choose any bread for your toast recipe; white/brown/black (haha). If using fresh bread, just take out the slices and leave on a plate for 10-12 minutes. Old and dry breads make better toasts.
  2. You can use any appliance to make toast, be it a pan or bread toaster, etc. I like to pre-heat the appliance for best results.
  3. Do not apply any butter or any other fat while toasting the bread. It will make your hands greasy and toast soggy. Dry roast the bread for crispier toasts.
  4. Do not overcrowd the toast with the toppings, make two instead.
  5. Cook the toasts on low flame if using a pan to make it.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
