I have grown up getting scolded for not eating or finishing my fruits. My Mom would always insist that I should eat at 5 different colors of fruits in a day. Why are fruits so important?

  3. Fruits are a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals. To be particular, fruits provide vitamin C, folic acid, potassium, and fiber.
  4. Dietary fiber is so important for our body and fruits are such an important source of dietary fiber. Dietary fiber is important for a proper bowel movement. It helps to fight constipation etc.
  5. The potassium-rich diet helps to maintain blood pressure. Banana, oranges, etc are the fruits rich in potassium.
  6. Vitamin C helps is helpful in the growth of body cells. It helps in healing the wounds, and proper growth of teeth and gums.
  7. Folic acid helps in the red blood cells formation.
  8. Consumption of fruits protects from different cancers.
  9. Fruits reduce the risk of heart-related diseases.
  10. Consumption of fruits helps to keep the blood pressure under control.
