Virgin Mojito

How to make Virgin Mojito with step by step pictures: A cold and very exhilarating beverage made with lime and fresh mint leaves, prepared and served in the same tall glass, and chilled with ice cubes; is virgin Mojito. Virgin Mojito recipe is very very easy and quick. Mojito is prepared in combination with rum. However, this is the recipe for Virgin Mojito and no rum has been used. Further sparkling water or club soda is used to make any Mojito. I did not have the same so I have used water instead of it. Also, I have used lemons. Authentically lime is used to make Mojito. Actually, the recipe has been prepared during the lockdown scenario and therefore the lack of ingredients led to the cheating part. A glass of Mojito works great on a hot sunny day. It is absolutely refreshing and rejuvenating.

Virgin Mojito Recipe – Ingredients required

Special Equipment Required: Meddle is used to make the Mojito. In absence of the same, you can use a pestle or even a rolling pin. However be very careful while using the pestle in a glass, as you might end up breaking it and obviously ruining your drink.

Lime/Lime Juice: I like to put the lime wedges in the tall glass and then juice the same using a pestle. However, it should not be overdone. Otherwise, the drink might get sour and won’t taste good. Also, instead of following this, you can simply add lime juice to make Mojito. 1 lime or 2 tbsp of lime juice is good for a glass or a serving of Mojito.

Mint Leaves: 10-15 fresh mint leaves are also added and meddled or “pestled” (as in this recipe). Again it is very important do not meddle the mint leaves too much.

Sweetener: Granulated sugar or sugar syrup or honey syrup or maple syrup, any sweetener of your choice can be used to sweeten the Mojito.

Water and Ice Cubes: Sparkling water is the main ingredient. But in absence of the same, the regular water has been used in this recipe. Ice cubes, of course, need no mention, still finds one because it is really important to serve the Mojito absolutely chilled.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
