Crunchy vegetables, cheese and pizza sauce; everything well combined and sandwiched between two bread slices make a delish sandwich i.e. the pizza sandwich. As the name suggests, this sandwich has the flavors of a pizza and structure of a sandwich. Any bread can be chosen to make a pizza sandwich. I have used whole wheat bread. I think the pizza sandwich is a healthy way to add vegetables to kids’ diet. Because when flavored with pizza sauce and combined with cheese, veggies are sure to be relished by one and all, including those fussy eaters. It is a great snacking option. It can also be packed for kids’ lunch boxes or prepared for breakfast.
Pizza sandwich recipe calls for:
Bread: Any bread can make a good pizza sandwich. Seriously! You will not find much difference in the sandwich made using white bread or brown bread. Pick the healthy one. Also if you can find a healthy bread with some garlic, that would be great.
Vegetables: Just as a pizza topping, the stuffing of the pizza sandwich can be as per your liking. Well, I need to mention this. My kids never eat pizza with veggies on it, they only eat cheese (margarita) pizza. But in the case of this sandwich, there is no fuss. Maybe the smaller pieces of vegetables are not all that annoying for them. Or something else! But it is for sure that your kiddo or even you may not like a particular veggie as your pizza topping but you might like it in your pizza sandwich stuffing.

Cheese: Certainly mozzarella cheese does more justice to pizza and similar dishes. However, I was short of mozzarella and therefore I have used processed cheese. You may use any cheese of your choice.
The best pizza sandwich is one that is absolutely crisp. It has crispy veggies in the stuffing. The correct quantity of cheese has been used. 1.This recipe makes 5 pizza sandwiches.
2.Collect the ingredients. Make sure to season the chopped vegetables with little salt and black pepper powder.
3.To begin with, put the chopped onion and capsicum on a baking dish. Season it with pizza seasoning and little olive oil.
4.Put it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees centigrade. Let it bake for 5-7 minutes.
5.Apply butter on the slices. Do not apply too much butter.
6.Next apply pizza sauce.
7.Put little grated cheese.
8.Next add chopped vegetables.
9.Put the sandwich in the pre-heated griller.
10.Cook till absolutely crispy.
11.Serve hot. Bon appetite.
