How to make Crispy Pizza?

I have often been asked this question. Well, if your oven doesn’t bake a crisp pizza, try the following tips and tricks:

1. Generally, pizza is baked at 240°C -250° I like to bake it at 180°C. Always pre-heat the oven at 180°C (or 160°C if using convection or fan oven).

2. If the lower temperature doesn’t work, you can try to bake the readymade pizza recipe separately at 180°Ctill a little crisp and thereafter proceed with the recipe.

3. You can also put the ready-made pizza recipe on a pre-heated skillet or pan and cook on low flame till the base gets a little crisp after baking your pizza.

How to make Pizza at home without an oven?

It is absolutely okay if you don’t have an oven but want to make pizza at home. It is very much possible to make pizza without an oven. Pizza can be prepared in a pan or on a skillet or even in a gas tandoor. In fact, I love to make pizza in a gas tandoor, I like that even more than the one made in an oven.

Pizza in a pan/Tava Pizza:

a. In order to make pizza on a tava or in a pan,

b. pre-heat the pan or tava.

c. Once it is hot, place the assembled pizza on it.

d. Reduce the flame to low. Cover with a lid.

e. Let the pizza cook with the lid on till the vegetables are soft yet crunchy and the cheese starts to melt.

f. The pizza base may not be crisp yet. Remove the lid and continue to cook on a low flame the base is crispy.

Pizza in Gas Tandoor:

a. Heat the gas tandoor.

b. Assemble and place the pizza in the preheated gas tandoor.

c. Reduce the flame and let it cook till the vegetables become soft and the cheese melts and the pizza recipe is crisp.

Hi! I am CA Vini Mehta. A Chartered Accountant by profession, a food blogger by passion! First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by at Viniscookbook, I hope you have a good time. Here, yo...u will find the recipes which have been tried, at times re-tried in my kitchen and relished on the dining table. I am mother of two kids and the wife of a person with a high and selective taste sense, so basically anything, before finding its place on the blog, has many levels to cross and clear. This journey started a couple of years back. Before that I was making the most usual kind of food. The only experiment used to be asking my mother how to make something new or different☺. Then, one day, I tried a recipe for butter cookies. And they did not get to go in the container as they were over before I could store them. That day I was introduced to the joy of experimenting with recipes. And I loved everything else that followed especially garnishing and photographing food. I am still not well versed with the photography dos and don’ts but I love to experiment and learn, be it photography or cooking. Hope you too enjoy this journey as much as I do☺! Stay healthy, stay tuned!.
