Rice having the awesome flavor of perfectly cooked mushrooms, with the hint of garlic and pungency of onions and soy sauce, the superb bite of celery is Mushroom Fried Rice. The Mushroom Fried Rice recipe is very quick to fix with cooked rice in hand. The recipe doesn’t call for many ingredients. With a few ingredients, within minutes you can make a bowl of mushroom fried rice.
Like any other Indo Chinese fried rice, mushroom fried rice too can be served with Manchurian. However you can serve it without any accompaniment for a light meal. Momos chutney or tomato ketchup can be the side dishes for the mushroom fried rice.
Rice: In this mushroom fried rice recipe cooked rice has been used. It is very important that rice is just cooked and not overcooked. Refrigerate and cold rice is the best for the Mushroom Fried Rice recipe.
Mushrooms: I have used the fresh button mushrooms. In this recipe I have explained the process to clean the mushrooms properly. Further mushrooms have been sliced. You can cut them as you like be it quarters or thin strips.
Flavorings: Onions, garlic, soya sauce and black pepper powder are the basic flavoring agents of the Indo-Chinese dishes and the same have been used for this recipe too.
Serve these hot with vegetable manchurian for a weekend meal.
1.This recipe serves 2 persons.
2.In a wok or broad pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil.
3.Add 3 tbsp of chopped onions.
4.Cook on high flame for a minute.
5.Next add 6 chopped garlic cloves. Cook on high flame, stirring continuously, for 10 seconds.
6.Add 100 grams sliced mushrooms.
7.Cook on high flame, tossing continuously, till the mushrooms turn brown.
8.Add 2 cups of cooked rice.
9.Further add salt to taste, ½ tsp soya sauce, 1 tsp black pepper (kali mirchi) powder.
10.Mix everything well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
11.Garnish with chopped celery or coriander stems
12.Serve hot. Bon appetite.
