Recipe using dal: As such you may use any dal of your choice. I have used arhar/toor dal, which has been cooked and tempered well.
Dhokli: Dhokli is made using whole wheat flour. Just as dal even dhokli gives you a good choice as the the size and shape. Top dal dhokli with little ghee and indulge.

How To Make Dal Dhokli Recipe

1. To pressure cook dal: In a pressure cooker add 1/2 cup arhar dal, 2 cups water, salt to taste and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. And cook for 1 whistle. Let the pressure release on its own

2. To make dhokli: In a mixing bowl add 1/2 cup wheat flour, 2 tbsp gram flour,1 tsp ghee, 1/4 tsp salt (according to taste) and 1/4 tsp carom seeds

4. Knead dough by adding water gradually. Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes

5. Heat a fry pan and add 2-3 tbsp ghee

7. Add one pinch asafetida
