What is Aloo Frankie Recipe?
A tasty Aloo Frankie Recipe patty and lots of salad and cheese wrapped together, that is frankie. The most compact form of one full meal! This particular recipe has a potato patty with sharp flavours of vinegar chillies and masala onions which gives an awesome kick to aloo frankie. Apart from that cheese and mayonnaise add awesome flavours. As such aloo frankie can be served for breakfast, brunch or even a ,ight lunch or dinner, I love to pack some aloo frankies for my kids’ tiffin.
Let’s talk about the ingredients for aloo frankie
I have used whole wheat flour to make the chapatis. You can make the chapati using all purpose flour or a combination of all purpose flour and whole wheat flour. You can also use the left over rumali rotis for this. For the filling, I have used aloo patty. The frankies have salad, some grated cheese, masala onions and green chilies soaked in vinegar. The last two items are the star. Masala onions and green chilies soaked in vinegar gave a wonderful crunch and kick to the frankies. I have spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the chapatis. You can go for chutney or any other sauce of your choice.
Let’s just talk
I made these for Amy’s tiffin today. And to click pretty pictures I packed them with a ribbon. However after taking the pictures I thought Amy will be very surprised and happy to see the frankies so packed. So instead of wrapping them in foil I kept the rolls tied with the ribbon, in her tiffin. “She loves her food to be presented well.” When she was back home, she was so happy and excited to tell me that the moment she opened her tiffin she was so pleased to see the rolls that she yelled out of joy. Yeah there was a moment of embarrassment but then she flaunted these rolls to all her friends and they relished them.
I don’t know whether I’ll be a good blogger or not, but yes, this whole exercise is making me a better mommy.
